Long term Data Migration Architect to join our team and to work from our site in Hayward, CA (Hybrid). You will work as part of a broader team to design and create database structures suitable for quickly and efficiently storing and retrieving relevant data for company projects. Your duties will be include designing, planning, implementation and optimization. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers to understand data migration requirements and needs. Assist customers by delivering a data migration workstream from beginning to end, including analyzing, potential impacts, utilizing data engineering skills. Profiling, mapping, moving the data and transforming data as necessary, while considering risks and communicate technical data migration strategies to business stakeholders and IT professionals. Provide expert solutions to complex user problems in a timely manner by receiving, clarifying, and investigating incidents. Analyzing, documenting, and communicating migration details following implementation to take a constructive approach to continuous improvement. Collaborate with Data Migration Lead, SMEs, and internal customers to capture requirements. Write complex queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures for extracting data. Work across multiple functional teams to understand data usage for data migration. Understand ETL (Extract Transform and Load) technical approaches and designs. Analyze data in legacy formats and validate data sets to ensure data consistency and internal requirements are met. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good understanding of Manufacturing Industry Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently and get the job done in professional manner. Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and MS SQL server. Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL Maintain and modify procedures and scripts for data migration. Reporting and business intelligence tools like Microsoft SSRS and SSIS Educational/Certification Requirement:
BA/BS degree in IT, Computer Science, Math, Business, Operations or similar MS SQL Server certification will be a plus but is not a requirement. Experience Requirement:
10
years of experience in complex data migration, external customer facing project experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and understand complex data sets.
