Consumer Services Specialist

JOB Overview:
The Consumer Services Specialist responds to consumer and customer inquiries ranging in nature from routine to complex concerning National Beverage products, nationwide. This may include product availability information, consumer dissatisfaction resolutions, consumer marketing inquiries, sales distributor inquiries, and tracking of statistical data for manufacturing plants and consumer marketing.
Responsibilities:
Provides customer service to end use consumers, customers, vendors, field and internal personnel including availability and consumer comments about products.
Maintains consumer relations database.
Responds to website email for National Beverage brands (inclusive of Shasta, Rip It, LaCroix, Big Shot, Crystal Bay, Ritz, Cascadia, and Faygo).
Collaborates with Marketing Teams and the manufacturing plants in maintaining product coupon availability and inventories. Also requests monetary reimbursement from corporate to reimburse dissatisfied consumers.
Retrieves product samples from consumers, customers, and manufacturing plants which are submitted to Hayward Central Lab for examination.
Provides administrative services to all levels of internal plant personnel.
Provides back-fill support to the Senior Consumer Services Specialist and QA admin.
Performs special assignments or projects, as it relates to customer service and consumer marketing services.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include, but are not limited to: manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
3-5 years of experience preferred in customer service, marketing, and/or administration.
Intermediate computer skills, which include Microsoft Excel and Access, and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets (including graphs and charts), and Outlook.
Intermediate to advanced Internet application skills; social media preferred.
English comprehension orally and reading & writing a must.
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people at all levels, including consumers, customers, employees, and other professional staff.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative on a wide range of administrative and organizational needs.
Bilingual may be preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
