POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides Occupational Therapy treatments as delegated by the Occupational Therapist.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides Occupational Therapy treatment according to the Occupational Therapist (OT) treatment plans.
Documents according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.
Submits accurate charge sheets on a daily basis.
Informs the therapist of the patient's progress.
Attends case conference with the OT(s).
Instructs patients and/or family in appropriate home exercise programs.
Participates in in-service education programs.
Participates in department and hospital growth.
Demonstrates flexibility to meet hospital and department needs.
Attends staff meeting.
Other Duties
Participate in clinical instruction of affiliating students.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director, Rehabilitation/Occupational Services.


QUALIFICATIONS
License(s)/Certifications
Current California OT Assistant license or eligible
Proof of all required License(s)/Certification(s) due at time of hire

Education
Graduation of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program or military training, consisting of satisfactory completion of a formal OT assistant course of instruction, which includes a minimum of 550 hours of technical course work and 350 hours of directed clinical experience.
Proof of all required educational level(s) due at time of hire

Experience
One year experience preferred.
New graduate may be considered.

Demonstrates competence in skills within the scope of practice
Including age and condition appropriate considerations.
Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
Sit stand and walk throughout the day
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Push/pull up to 250lbs.
Frequent bending/squatting.
Occasional Kneeling and reaching overheadEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
