Cable Infrastructure Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Delivery is seeking a Cabling Infrastructure Program Manager to build planning and operations for new and existing data center growth.

This individual will be responsible for room builds and quality control of daily cabling operations quality control, working and collaborating across all levels and functions of the organization to maintain AWS' high standards.
The mission of the team is to deliver network capacity on time with zero rework.
This role will focus on end to end ownership in partnership with dedicated teams, such as, scaling and edge deployment engineering teams, network deployment, facilities engineering, cabling groups, finance, procurement, vendor management cabling vendors, manufacturers, distributors, and capacity planning.
As a CI Engineer, you will:
1.
Act as a point of escalation for End to End Server Euclid Brick projects, working with project stakeholders, downstream customers, and deploy teams to develop mitigation plans and path to green throughout the projects until capacity handoff2.
Provide leadership oversight and help prioritize tasks to brick build technicians and operations to deliver capacity in a timely manner3.
Coach, train and create documentation for cabling best practices4.
Manage tasks and deliverables for all brick build projects including emergent projects within the SFO regions5.
Analyze complex, ambiguous, and potentially escalated business issues to develop recommendations for the operations leadership team.

Monitor performance of cabling vendors and deliver clear feedback during periodic business reviews including managing the corrective actions7.
Drive process change and improvement for overall brick build activities within entire SFO region8.
Own project management for all physical deployment of preliminary networks for new datacenter room builds.
Primary focus of deployment includes:

Office Cabling.

Coordinate new room builds and emergent bricks from beginning to capacity handoff, including project scope, timeline, hardware procurement, resource allocation, and project execution coordinating remote work closely with engineers and program managers10.
Create cutsheets, Scope of Work, elevations and marked floorplans for vendors through bidding process.
Establish timelines, coordinate materials, and ensure progress on site until project completion11.
Forecast project needs to create budget for Capital Appropriation Request inputs.
Work with suppliers, procurement, and finance teams to control and manage approved funds12.
Report weekly, and monthly program and operating metrics to stakeholders, partners and leadership team13.
Provide constant communication to all stakeholders and customers utilizing ticketing system and change management to ensure smooth project intake/outtake14.
Be the first point of escalation for projects assigned and act as an escalation point for the project team and project stakeholders to manage risks, develop mitigation plans and path to green throughout the project15.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone, task and project health data for all your projects.

Identify opportunities to streamline project deliverables, share best practices with your peers and leaders and implement continuous improvement actions on a regular basis.
17.
Coordinate and implement new infrastructure designing working closely with Infra Capacity Delivery.
Report and evaluate cable tray utilization to mitigate congested cable trays to prevent blockers.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
